Many stores that sell lingerie are behind the times. They are still catering to that stereotype of the skinny fashion model. In fact, 40% of American women wear lingerie in a size 14 or larger. For the purpose of this article, we will define plus size lingerie as being a size 14 or greater. When a size and number isn't given, as in the case of something being labeled by letter, then plus size lingerie will refer to a size of 1X or higher.
