How To Wear Flats
To read more, click on the above title
Published by B.A.B. Girl | Filed under Do You Know
Flats may not do the fabulous things for your calves that high heels can, but they’re much more comfortable. Rumor has it that short girls can’t wear them for fear of looking stumpy. That’s not true. Girls of any height can wear these vertically challenged shoes.

Why Women Love And Sometimes Harshly Judge Flats
Flats seem like the ugly stepchildren of the average woman’s closet, stashed between the sexy stilettos and walking shoes or gymwear. However, they actually can have a great place in your closet and in your heart if you give them a chance. On top of being comfortable, they can be incredibly stylish. They can be funky, trendy and come in wild colors without looking too over the top for day. You may even get away with wearing them to work.
Flats, instead of making you look frumpy as many women fear, can make you look elegant. Don’t be afraid of them. Plenty of women out there love flats for everyday wear. They’re less dangerous to your feet, ankles and legs than heels. You can’t lose.
How to Wear Them
- Skirts that hit above the knee: This length is short enough not to make your legs look stumpy. Since heels lengthen the legs and flats don’t, you can get away with longer skirts without shortening your legs by wearing heels. With flats, you’ll want to show a bit more of your leg, since there’s no lengthening illusion. The shorter you are, the shorter your skirt should be. Petite girls look amazing in minis with flats.
- Capris: Think of the TV shows of the 1960s where housewives wore capris and flats around the house. They looked cute, huh? Pair them with a clingy sweater or fitted shirt for the best silhouette.
- Pants/jeans short enough not to hit the ground: You’ll want to wear different pants with your flats than you would with heels. The reason’s obvious. You just don’t want to walk all over the hems or drag them through mud puddles all day.
- Shorts: The new longer shorts that are all the rage this season look feminine and casually elegant when paired with a cute top and flats. That’s one way to dress your shorts up, and if you work in a somewhat casual environment, you may even be able to wear this type of outfit on the weekdays.
