How To Measure Your Bra Size and Fit Your Bra Correctly?
6 Aug 2009 • Do You Know, LifestyleDid you know that 7 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong bra size? With the lingerie preorder, I have many emails asking me how to measure their bra size, what bra size they should get. Well, basically, your bra size and cup can be obtained with just 2 measurements – your underbust and your bustline. Now, let’s see what you need to do to get these 2 measurements. I have included 2 videos on how to fit your bra correctly. Enjoy!
- Step 1: Get a measuring tape, obviously…
- Step 2: Wear your favourite / best bra, one that is of the most comfortable fit (non-pushup or non-padded preferred).
- Step 3: Measure your uderbust (the circumference of the area right under your breasts).
- Step 4: Measure your bustline (the circumference of the fullest part of your breasts)
- Step 5: In a bra size, for e.g.: 40C, that will mean your underbust (as in step 3) measures 40 inches.
- Step 6: As for your bra cup, take your [bustline (step 4) minus your underbust (step 3)]. The difference will be the cup size (see below). The bra cup size is incremental with every inch difference.
- 1 inch difference = A cup
- 2 inches difference = B cup
- 3 inches difference = C cup
- 4 inches difference = D cup
- 5 inches difference = E cup
- 6 inches difference = F cup
