Girl http://bab.com.sg/?p=1468 A couple of months ago, on Singapore’s TV Channel 5, I was watching America’s Got Talent. Suddenly a group of gals caught my attention! There they were, big and beautiful and with even bigger voices and dance moves! They look amazing and I love that confidence they sparked on stage! Thats the main draw…So you see, seriously, confidence is KEY! You may be big and beautiful but without confidence, you still won’t shine.

So who are The Glamazons?

The Glamazons, plus size performers, big and beautiful women

Created in 2001, The Glamazons are a plus-size pop group whose mission is to show the world that talent comes in all sizes. The fierce foursome consists of Lady Finger (Meryl Finger), Candy Apple (Sandra May), Caramella (Laura Johnson) and Ginger Snapp (Sarah Orr). They are known for their high energy live shows with tight vocal harmonies and precision choreography in which they perform everything from show tunes to hip hop.

We will be donating part of our “Glam ME UP!” event proceeds to the making of their debut album. Why? Cos I would love to support big and beautiful women! And they are going to have a World Tour soon, wondering if they be coming to Singapore. In Singapore, we really do not have that kind of exposure. I was just ranting on Facebook Group why is it that we do not have plus size fashion show in Singapore??? You know, we have a dream…and the dream is to have plus size fashion in main stream media!

I have so much to share….as we go along…To kickstart the music section, let me share this song by Louis Prima, a trumpeter (I love to play the trumpet too)…“THE BIGGER THE FIGURE”. Very interesting lyrics and very jovial song! This song was featured in the cartoon, IGOR…my boyfriend was quick to pick up the song. :)
