Ladies, B.A.B. is on board as 1 of the official sponsor for the Plus Size Pageant for Miss & Mrs Amazing, alongside Lavender Closet. Apparels will still be sponsored by Lavender Closet but B.A.B. will be working on the marketing stuff…and maybe some shoes and accessories. So yes, we will be giving you more insights on the pageant. From what I know, we already have a couple of members already registered for it, pending audition. So here’s the deal, BAB members out there, if you have registered for this pageant, let me know!!! P.S.: In the meantime, we have uploaded the lingerie and office wear tops for your preorder. Most of the goods will reach by mid April, in time for our Open House on 17 April 2010. Some lingerie will only reach by end April. We will be doing our Bangkok items shoot next weekend so stay tuned! Who is the organizer?
The pageant is organized by TKS N Sons Pte Ltd. From the website, www.internationalworldpageants.com, it seems like they have organized many successful pageants before. I will be meeting up with the organizer tomorrow morning, will update you girls then.

Who is the wardrobe sponsor?
Lavender Closet is the wardrobe sponsor, last spoken to Missy Closet, she is now busy preparing for the gowns, etc. So you do not need to worry about not having any pretty clothes to wear! B.A.B. maybe sponsoring some shoes and accessories, etc if need be.

About the Plus Size Beauty Pageant
A carefully selected group of girls will compete in the beauty pageant. And 1 from each category – Miss Amazing and Mrs Amazing will emerge as the winner. Here’s how it will look like (most details are not confirmed yet and the below is just an estimation and subjected to changes).

• Best 50 candidates will be carefully selected via the registration process.
• After you have been shortlisted, you will have to go through a portfolio photoshoot at $48 per person. The Photogenic category will be based on this photoshoot.
• Thereafter, publicity and rehearsals will start somewhere in May – there may be assignments, photoshoot, publicity such as meet the public in shopping malls, etc done over the next 3 months – most likely on weekends and maybe a couple on weekdays.
• After speaking to the organizer, the portfolio shoot $48 and the registration fee $30 is all that you will need to pay for. Other expenses are optional and pretty much on your own decisions, like going for talks, courses, etc.

What does the winner get?

• Cash prizes (yet to confirm) – the ad on WanBao on 23 Dec mentioned that it will be $5,000 cash for the winner
• A chance to compete in the International Beauty Pageant, against contestants from other countries (although details are yet to confirm but seems like most likely, you are not going to fly out of Singapore, the other countries contestants will be flying in instead)
• Will give you the girls the scoop once I get them.

What is the Plus Size Pageant criteria?

• Above 18 years old
• Above weight of 80kg
• Have a talent or skill
• Able to win the crowd with your loveliest smile
• Confidence is a must
• To be a role model for all plus size girls to look up to
• Able to speak well and present yourself well in public
